With three licensed indoor and outdoor spaces available for your exclusive use, Monkton offers unparalleled flexibility to host joyful, personal celebrations for 65 to 400 guests.

Set amid the rolling Chiltern Hills just outside the Thameside town of Marlow and only 35 miles from central London, Monkton is licensed for civil ceremonies with the Buckinghamshire Register Office.

With three indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces to choose from – Monkton Barn, our lovingly converted 18th-century threshing barn; our ten-acre Wildflower Meadow, and our private Woodland Dell – the entire estate is available for your exclusive use. With a late licence and no sound restrictions, celebrations at Monkton can unfold naturally and continue late into the night.

As an independent family-run business, we aim to be the most friendly, flexible and helpful hosts for your wedding. We want you to enjoy the entire planning experience – from your initial enquiry, through to the big day itself – and all the fun stuff in between.

We warmly welcome all wedding celebrations and love nothing more than helping couples create a day that truly feels their own. You may choose to marry in the beautifully restored Monkton Barn, one of the charming local churches nearby, or host a heartfelt celebrant-led ceremony on the Wildflower Meadow or in the Woodland Dell.

We are proud to host a wide range of celebrations, including Asian weddings and multi-day events, and we are equally experienced in bringing together beautiful weddings with a tighter turnaround. For couples dreaming of a relaxed, festival-style celebration, we also offer camping and glamping, allowing your guests to make a weekend of it.

Food and drink is essential for any celebration, and never more so than on your wedding day.

Our in-house catering team has created menus which feel generous, seasonal and full of choice. From relaxed barbecues and our much-loved hog roast, to silver service fine dining, food at Monkton is shaped around the feel of your day. Our chefs also draw inspiration from cuisines across the globe, including Mediterranean, Indian, Moroccan and Asian flavours.

Our lively, fully stocked bar keeps drinks flowing without the wait. Whether in the Barn at Monkton’s Bar or out in the Wildflower Meadow, we serve wherever the celebration takes you.

Tell us what you’re dreaming of and we’ll work closely with you to bring it to life. From the outset, you’ll have access to our trusted Directory of Suppliers and Contractors, making it easy to source everything you need – from a marquee to entertainment – for your day. To ensure a seamless and stress-free experience, all bar and catering services are provided in-house by our talented and experienced hospitality team.

You’ll also have full access to our PropShop – an ever-growing collection of table décor, bunting, garden games, lighting, furniture, chalkboards, vases, glassware and countless other decorative flourishes. In short, we can help with every detail needed to create a truly unforgettable celebration – one your guests will be talking about for years to come.

EARLY ACCESS

Many of our clients like the freedom to come to us the day before their wedding to set up and make their special arrangements. We love to offer this possibility, however this is completely depends on future bookings! We have a great team here, that loves to help in any way possible, to this end we offer a set up service on the day to halt any worries you may have!
